Warframe: Tier List 2024 (Best Warframes) (2024)

Warframe gives you everything you need for just about any situation, enemy, or objective. There’s no stronger proof of that than the 55 Warframes (and counting) available at your disposal. That’s how many there are now after 11 strong years. With that many choices, you’d surely want a Warframe tier list to determine where your favorite falls or what you might be missing. We’ll explain what each tier means along the way.

S – Tier Warframes (The Best Warframes, Typically Overpowered)

We’re not even exaggerating when we say the following Warframes can trivialize the whole game. They have some of the most complete ability kits in the game and have an answer for just about any situation.

Some of them can even do what most other Warframes can, and you’ll want to have them even if you don’t exactly find them aesthetically pleasing. After all, you can bring them with you when you hit the most difficult endgame content.

RevenantMesaOctaviaWispGauss

Revenant is the only immortal Warframe you need, but apart from having the best immortality ability in the game, he also has a decent movement skill and a clever crowd-control ability. He’s the whole package, well… almost.

Mesa is there if you want to clear an army of enemies in a particular view, and her ability to do that also translates to single enemies. She can also be tanky and has a decent crowd-control ability for ranged enemies.

Octavia just transforms all damage inflicted on her back to enemies in a tenfold fury, and that’s what puts her in this spot. On top of that, she possesses the versatile invisibility skill. And who would say no to good music while playing Warframe?

Wisp is still the undisputed queen of stationary or defense missions or just about any mission where you have to stay put. Her Motes are some of the best buff abilities in the game, and she gets three overpowered buff variants on top of crowd control and situational invisibility.

Finally, Gauss, while tricky to play, has the best innate area armor-strip in Warframe. You can be confident in taking him to the level cap since it doesn’t matter how much armor the enemies have, Gauss will strip it in style.

They’re not as busted as the S-Tier Warframes, but you’ll see them often in missions for their utility. They’re not as self-sufficient as the best Warframes in the game, but you’ll still want them in your arsenal even if you don’t like them, just in case. Here they are in our Warframe tier list.

Saryn is a bit debatable since some might swear she’s S-Tier, but she’s too reliant on Arcane Energize and also too squishy. Everyone else is impressive here. Volt also gets a special mention since he’s a starter Warframe that you can take well into the endgame.

B – Tier (Good for Most Missions)

You can’t go wrong with these Warframes, but there are times when you might want to bring someone else to do a more streamlined job whether it’s killing enemies or surviving.

Still, if you put some effort into building them and throw in some Forma and some Arcanes, you can make them your functional favorite.

Ash has fallen off from being one off a bit hard since his 4th Ability is cumbersome and janky, but he still remains a good solo frame and you can take him to the level cap. Others have also seen better days and have been outclassed by the S-Tier Warframes, but they’re powerful enough to stand out.

C – Tier (Average, Nothing Impressive)

These Warframes might leave you wanting. They don’t really excel in anything, but they’ll make do if you give them the right weapons and mods. Eventually, you might get bored of the playstyle and abilities they offer because they’re nothing remarkable or they’re not as powerful as they used to be.

IvaraValkyrZephyrBanshee
YareliGyreInarosAtlas

Ivara is one such Warframe here that best represents this tier. She’s great at remaining invisible and for niche purposes like unlocking Riven mods. Beyond that, you’re better off sticking with someone else more specialized or more powerful.

D – Tier (Needs Reworking)

Outclassed, outgunned, and out of purpose, these Warframes need some serious rework to be brought back to relevance. No amount of mods, Forma, or Arcanes can make them shine or be competent.

You can find much better versions of their abilities or purpose on other Warframes. Even if you like them aesthetically or thematically, do be wary of spending too much time or effort into making them “good enough.”

LokiNyxCaliban

Poor Loki and Nyx badly need their reworks but it appears the developers have something in store for the latter. Caliban, meanwhile, is too fragile and consumes too much energy with little to no synergy between his abilities.

For now, you can only hope these three get buffed so they can move higher in our Warframe tier list.
